WeWork is gearing up for Japan

The New York based company which rents space to freelancers, business & startups in 17 Countries, valued at about $20 billion after closing a $760 million funding round early this month & it came shortly after SoftBank invested $300 million in WeWork.

The Co Working Giant WeWork Cos. is gearing up to launch its co-working spaces in Japan as part of the agreement, where SoftBank and WeWork will each own 50 percent of the venture name “Wework Japan” which will launch in Tokyo early next year. The company has appointed Chris Hill who was the first ever Chief Operating Officer of WeWork Cos.

Days back SoftBank was in news for raising a stunning $100 billion fund —to invest in another tech company.


WeWork and SoftBank have reputations for connecting people and creating partnerships. WeWork is looking to continue its rapid pace of global expansion & the proposal would make Tokyo WeWork’s biggest operation in Asia.
