Jagmeet Singh’s marriage to turn up in Brampton, Ontario and Mexico

The tailor made love of Jagmeet Singh and Gurkiran Kaur Sodhi is all set to slay for their wedding day after a warm engagement.

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh is celebrating his grand wedding with Gurkiran Kaur Sodhi in Brampton, Ontario and will travel to Mexico for a more private ceremony and honeymoon.

Engaged on January 16 of the this year, the couple started the plans for their big day since the holidays, which came less than two weeks after Singh, 38, invited the media to watch his proposal to 27-year-old fashion designer Gurkiran Kaur at a downtown Toronto restaurant.

The couple disclosed their wedding date, the first wedding ceremony, traditionally known as a Kirtan in the Punjabi, will be held on Feb. 4 in Brampton, Ont., which involve a large gathering of friends, family, neighbours and well-wishers.

Then the couple will travel to Mexico on Feb. 19 for a private ceremony before spending the rest of the week in the country on their honeymoon.

Jagmeet Singh and Gurkiran Kaur have known each other since 2010, but they both were dating for about  a year.

Despite of the wedding season, there are also many accusations regarding the Singh’s private life which he carefully guarded during last year’s NDP leadership campaign, but things soon changed as after his attainment in leadership. He posted videos on social media of their dance and showing off their engagement ring after proposing to Kaur.

After this, the lion’s own den was a bit trembled. While some applauded, some murmured.
